What we do
We start early.
A typical project at Kingfisher starts well before any design work begins. We should be your first call for your house project – that’s how we can do the most for you.
While we can provide one-off services, and come into a project at more developed design stages, the sooner we can get involved in the overall process, the better.
We run the numbers.
Kingfisher will define your project requirements in a budget and then defend and protect this budget throughout the design process. Where possible we’ll also look to improve this budget both through practical changes and procurement expertise.
We keep it real.
Projects can get off track when aspirations are not in line with reality. This can cause design re-work, compromises, delays and cost overruns. By reconciling the design with the budget throughout each design phase we prevent these issues.
Who we are
With our collective construction industry expertise and experience the Kingfisher team is ready to change New Zealand’s home building for the better.
Meet
Max Mills
General Manager
With a background in estimating and commercial management, Max founded Kingfisher Cost Management to help clients get more out of the industry.
With over 15 years’ experience in construction and management roles Max gravitated towards the residential market in Christchurch, knowing where his skills could be put to best use.
While many quantity surveyors work across all forms of construction, Max understands such expertise is desperately needed specifically in the home build sector. With a cost-effective approach and an efficient, process-driven mindset he’s now helping his clients build homes in the most affordable and stress-free way possible.
